Bentley Map V8i (SELECTseries 10) Help

Feature Specific Menu Items

These actions are available for the list of features discovered from the spatial database. More than one feature can be selected by using the shift and control keys.

Note: When querying features from a spatial database, it is not possible to select which properties to query. All properties must be queried so they can be posted back properly. The Import dialog can be used to create a read-only connection to the spatial database and optionally select with properties to import.

Note: If the spatial database connection was opened as part of a Bentley Map project, then the symbology options will not be available as they are defined in the project itself.

Note: For 3D design files, Data Streaming works only in the top view. When panning or zooming streaming features in a non-top view, an error message will be displayed indicating features are not being streamed. The variable GDI_STREAMING_ERROR_DIALOG_TIMEOUT can be set to define the number of seconds the dialog should be displayed. Set to 0 to not display at all. The default is 3 seconds.

Using the Search tool causes the query results to be displayed in the Data Browser. No features are queried into the active session. The Data Browser tools can then be used to find the selected feature(s) and locate those features in the view. If the feature has not yet been queried into the DGN, the Data Browser will query the selected row and then center it in the view.
